Q. My windows are fogged, can they be repaired?

A.  Yes, fogging is caused by the seal failing in the double pane glass unit.  A new double pane unit can be made to fit your existing window frame.  You do not have to change the entire window.

 

Q.  How are double panes replaced?

A.

Step #1 a tech comes to your house and measures the double pane unit.

Step #2 we make a duplicate double pane unit.

Step #3 schedule and install the new the new glass and your window is repaired.

 

Q.  How long will it take to install the double pane?

A.  Most double pane units take less than a hour to install.

 

Q.  My windows will not lock. What can be done?

A.  Locks fail to lock for several reasons.  We determine why the lock is not doing its job and then repair or replace it.

 

Q.  Do I have to take the day off from work to get the work done?

A.  We schedule a time with you and show up on time to do the work.

 

Q.  My windows will not stay up, what can be done?

A.  Windows that move up and down to operate have springs that sometimes break.  From time to time they need to be serviced or replaced.

 

Q.  My patio door will not slide open without a struggle.

A.  Most often the patio door needs to have its wheels replaced.

 

Q.  My window is very hard to slide open.  What can be done?

A.  Left-right sliding windows require periotic servicing of their wheels.  It is important that the track be keep clean and in the event that a wheel fails it needs to be replaced.

 

Q.  My patio door will not lock or is very hard to lock. What can be done?

A.  The lock my be broken and needs to be replaced.

 

Q.  My window screens are bent and have holes in them.  What can be done?

A.  Bring the old screens in and we will repair or make new ones.

 

Q.  My sliding screen door will not stay on track.  What can be done?

A.  Most sliding screen doors have wheels that need to be adjusted in order to have them move smoothly.   Quite often, they are broken and need to be replaced.

 

Q.  My sliding screen door is bent and will not lock.  What can be done?

A.  Sometimes, they can be straightened, most often they need to be replaced.
